House of Experimentia
Jan 22 - Feb 8, 2024 | Mon & Thur 12:30-2:30pm (mountain time)

What’s the best method for harnessing creativity in your artistic pursuits? There’s no one right answer. Practicing your craft is a great way to refine existing knowledge, skills, and abilities, but experimentia goes beyond practice into the unlimited field of exploration. With Leanne Trivett S.’s guidance, we examine both approaches and discover why each is important for connecting with our voice.

Leanne is very passionate about this process. She uses experimentation in her daily artistic journey and invites others to do the same. As she encourages you to tell your own story, we focus on creativity: investigating emotions, trying new things with our imagery (including the use of text), and getting innovative with printed photographs.

Though examining various genres of photography, we discover fresh ways to stretch the imagination. In-class time is spent encountering inspirational ideas, looking at different artists’ creations, reviewing participant work, sharing as a group, and receiving individual feedback from Leanne. A small amount of technical proficiency is required, but what’s most essential is to bring an open mind.

Liberate your creativity by releasing the pressure for perfection! As we embrace both our successes and failures, we connect more deeply to our artistic voice.
