"Dreams and I ate One too"

"Dreams and I ate One too" Photograph,
created with music inspiration in mind

"...if you want music to be your livelihood, then play, play, play and play! And eventually you'll get to where you want to be.”  Eddie Van Halen

This past week, I have been rockin’ out to Van Halen.  They just announced the Best of All Worlds Tour with the band members touring in their seventies.  How about that?!?!  I’ve been inspired by guitar all of my life.  There is nothing that compares to Eddie’s playing.  The song “Dreams” brings me to tears every time. It’s a reminder to pursue what is most important.

So for those of you Van Halen fans, are you in the Sammy camp?  Or David Lee Roth?  For me, I am both.  I am duality.  I am definitely the performer and show man like David and I am also the heart felt singer that belts it out like Sammy.  Let me rock out to the early stuff and the later stuff.  It is all good.

So how does all of this relate to photography?  Music is my inspiration.  It moves me to creating a particular mood or feeling within an image.  And often times, I will take the same image and process it in multiple ways using music to shift the feeling in each version.
