The Amazing Marc Chagall

It was love at first sight! The Marc Chagall museum exceeded my expectations and left me AMAZED and inspired.  He was doing with painting the very themes I explore with my photography.  Strong vibrant colors.  Double Exposures.  Conveying a message of intentionality with subject placement.

It was a joy to have the space early for plenty of time for contemplation and reflection.  One of my favorite pieces had strong blues with a little yellow, greens accented with red, mortals observed by the angels, and themes of good versus evil.  It is a piece that warrants not only a second look, but a moment to ponder both the work and how it relates to my own life.  It was beauty on a canvas.

I look forward to seeing how his work inspires me in future creations!
